Nattu Kozhi Roast


Nattu kozhi roast / Country chicken varuval is so much healthy and has of health benefits in them that normal broiler chicken... So hubby always wish to have country chicken weekly once especially saturday... Last saturday i told my hubby to buy country chicken so i can make this recipe to post here... This one is my son's favourite and he loved it to the core...Here fresh coriander leaves and curry leaves gives gives aromatic flavour to the recipe...

Preparation time : 10 mins
Marinate time : 1 hours
Frying time : 10 mins
Serve - 3

INGREDIENTS :

Country chicken / Nattu kozhi - 1/2 kg
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tspn
Chilli powder - 2 tspn
Garam masala powder - 1 tspn
Red food colour - 1 pinch
Thick yogurt - 2 tbspn
Lemon juice - 2 tbspn
Salt - as needed
Oil for frying 
Curry leaves - few
Green chilli - 2 or 3 (sliced)

FOR GRIND :

Coriander leaves - few
Curry leaves - few
Green chilli - 2

METHOD :

  • Wash the chicken and cut it into medium size..
  • First grind coriander leaves , curry leaves and chilli into coarse form.
  • Now add add the grinded masala to the mixing bowl and add in ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, colour powder, thick yogurt, salt and squeeze the lemon juice.
  • Mix well with a spoon and add in chicken pieces and mix well...
  • Then marinate it for 1 hour in fridge. After marinate take them out and give a mix and keep aside.
  • Make sure the chicken pieces were well coated to the masala before frying...
  • Heat a pan with oil and drop chicken pieces into the oil..
  • When the chicken is almost fry add in some curry leaves and sliced chilli to the oil.
  • Mix well and then drain it in a tissue paper...


PICTORIAL :

Take country chicken 
Cut it into medium pieces
Take grinding things 
Grind it into coarse form
Transfer it into a bowl
Add in ginger garlic paste
Add some salt
Some garam masala apowder
Add in some chilli powder
A pinch of red food colour powder
Some thick yogurt
Squeeze some lemon juice
Mix well
Add chicken, mix well and marinate for 1 hour
After marination give a mix
Heat oil in a pan and drop the chicken 
One by one 
Allow to fry 
After frying add in curry leaves
Some sliced chilli
Then drind it in a paper towel
Serve hot....
