Restaurant Style Gobi Manchurian Gravy / Cauliflower Manchurian


Restaurant style Gobi Manchurian / Cauliflower Manchurian is a simple indo Chinese recipe served with naan, roti, kulcha, fried rice recipes... it is a tempting combination of deep fried cauliflower and mixed with corn flour based thick gravy prepared in traditional Chinese way...


Most of the Chinese gravy used for MGS (Ajinamoto) in many road side shop and restaurant, But here I skip that MGR by adding sugar gives a same incredible taste as same as restaurant... So I hope that you must try this recipe and let me know how it's comes from you....

INGREDIENT :  

FOR PREPARING CAULIFLOWER : 

Cauliflower florets -  1 cup / 300 grams
Turmeric powder -  1/2 rspn
Water - 1 cup

FOR BATTER : 

Corn flour - 2 tspn 
All purpose flour / Maida - 2 tspn 
Rice flour -  1 tspn 
Pepper powder -  1 tspn
Salt - as needed
Water - as needed

FOR SAUCE :

Butter - 1 tbspn 
Garlic - 2 cloves (chopped)
Onion - 1 (chopped)
Spring onions white - 3 tbspn (chopped)
Springonions green -  2 tbspn (chopped)
Capsicum -  1/2 cup (chopped)
Chilli powder -  1 tspn 
Tomato sauce - 3 tbspn
Chilli sauce -  1 tbspn
Soya sauce -  1 tspn 
Corn flour -  1 tspn mixed with 1 tbspn of water
Salt - as needed
Sugar - 1tspn

METHOD :

  • Prepare the cauliflower by cut the florets and add them in sauce pan.
  • With water, turmeric powder, bring to boil for 2 mins... keep aside.
  • In a mixing bowl take batter ingredient and mix with little water and add in cauliflower and mix it well..
  • Heat a pan with oil and fry the cauliflower till they became golden brown and crispy..
  • Drain it tissue paper and keep aside..
  • In another kadai add some butter and add in chopped garlic and toss well..
  • Add in chopped onion and spring onions white and toss till they  became transparent..
  • Add in chopped capsicum and toss along with onions..
  • Add in Salt, Chilli powder, all the sauces which given above ingredient..
  • Toss well and add in fried cauliflower and mix well..
  • So the sauces well coated with cauliflower..
  • Fry for a 1 min in between gap take corn flour in a bowl and mix it with water..
  • Now pour to the heavy and add some water..
  • Mix it well, and bring to boil for 2 mins..
  • Now the heavy is ready to serve..
  • Add in spring onions green and mix well.
  • Transfer the gravy to the serving bowl..
  • Enjoy..



PICTORIAL : 

Take cauliflower and cut the florets
In a sauce pan add cauliflower, water and turmeric powder
Bring to boil for 2 mins 
Drain the water and keep aside
In a mixing bowl take batter items
Make it a batter consistency by adding water
Add in prepared cauliflower
Mix it well
Fry them in hot oil till became crispy
Flip and fry well till they beacme golden
Drain it in tissue paper
Heat a pn with some butter
Add in garlic 
When the garlic sizzle
add in onion and spring onion white
Stir well along with onion
Till they became soft and transparent
Add in chopped capsicum
Toss it well
Add in salt
Add in chilli powder
Add in all sauces and mix well
Add some sugar 
Toss it well for 2 mins
Add in fried cauliflower 
Mix it well till the sauces coated well
Mix a spoon of cornflour with some water
Add them to the gravy
Mix it well
Let they bring to boil for 2 mins
Till the gravy became thick 
Add in spring onion green part
Mix it well
Transfer them to a serving bowl
