Homemade Pav Bhaji Masala Powder


Some Spices that is used to make pav bhaji, which is a popular street food in india... Here the recipe is how to learn homemade pav bhaji masala powder... Bombay / Mumbai is well famous for it's street food recipe like Pav bhaji, Pani Puri, Vada pav, Dahi vada, etc... It is comabination of few indian spices mixed into one, roasted and graind them.. 


Pav bhaji Masala can be easily brought at your local indian store.. Last week When I was browsing, I saw a pav bhaji masala powder recipe and instanly tried it... It is super flavourful and aromatic than the store brought one..

INGREDIENTS :

Dry Red chilli - 8 to 10 nos
Cinnamon sticks / Pattai - 5 cm (big pieces)
Fennel seeds / Sombu - 1 1/2 tbspn
Cloves - 10 to 12 nos
Green cardamom / Elachi - 6 to 8 nos
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 2 tbspn
Coriander seeds / Malli - 1/4 cup
Kashmiri Chilli powder - 2 tbspn
Turmeric powder / Manjai podi - 1 tbspn
Amchoor powder / Dry mango Powder - 2 tbspn

METHOD :

  • Take all the ingredients in a thick bottom pan except the powdered spices..
  • Dry roast in low flame for 6 to 7 mins..
  • Now add in kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, amchoor powder..
  • Mix well for 30 sec, and remove it from the flame..
  • Now take them in blender and powder it..
  • Store it in air tight container for a week...
  • Enjoy the flavour of the masala by using it..


PICTORIAL :


Take all your ingredients
Take whole spices powder in a pan
Dry roast it for 6 to 7 mins
Toss in low flame
Once the colour is changed
Add in turmeric powder
Add in amchoor powder
Add in Kashmiri chilli Powder
Toss well for 30 sec, remove them and cool completely
 
Remove them to a blender
Powdered them.. masala done
Store it in air tight container
Enjoy..
Use it for recipes..
