Masala Pori / Spicy Kara Pori


Masala pori / Spicy Kara Pori is one of my favourite snacks with a cup of strong coffee... It is very easy and quick to make under 15 mins, even bachelor made this and enjoy... If you wants a simple snacks with available ingredients at home, this yummy masala pori is right option for you... Snacks with less oil and will be a loeable snacks for kids after return from school...


This is a simple, healthier and low calories snacks made with puffed rice is nicely coated with roasted peanut, gram, spices powder, asafoetida, curry leaves and garlic makes the snacks to it's prefection...

INGREDIENTS :

Puffed rice / Pori - 2 cups
Peanut - 1/4 cup
Roasted gram / Puttu Kadalai - 4 tbspn
Curry leaves - few
Garlic cloves - 4 (crushed)
Chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
Chaat masala powder - a pinch
Asafoetida / Hing - a pinch
Salt - as needed
Oil - 1 tspn

METHOD :

  • Heat oil in a kadai add peanut, roasted gram fry till golden..
  • Add in curry leaves, asafoetida and curry leaves, mix well.
  • Add in spices powder and salt, toss well.
  • Now add in pori and give it a quick toss..
  • Let it cool, store in air tight container for a week..
  • Enjoy...


PICTORIAL :

Take all your ingredients
Heat a pan with oil and add in peanuts
Rosted well
Add in rosted gram and mix well
Till golden brown 
Add in crushed garlic and asafoetida
Add in few fresh curry leaves
Mix well
Add all the spices powder and salt
Give it a quick mix
Add in pori
Mix well along with the mixture
Transfer them to a serving bowl
Serve hot
