Homemade Rice Flour Recipe / Arisi Maavu

Homemade Rice Flour is very handy in south indian kitchen.. It is used for making Indian Snacks and also for festival sweets items recipes... The Homemade rice flour is very aromatic and extreamly simple but it takes a lit bit effort..

It is used in kolkattai, Idiyappam and many more.. I soaked the prefect raw rice for 2 to 3 hours and drain it (keep it siever for 30 mins) and powdered them in to a smooth coarse powder and I sieve it well in newspaper, allow to dry completely and remove them to a pan and dry roast them, till nice aroma rises.. Spread it on the news paper and allow to cool completely.. Store it in air tight container and use as well.

I prepare this rice flour for my Arisi Vella Puttu Amuthu recipe, which is famous neivedhyam in Tiruchendur Murugan Temple, soon I posted that recipe, keep watching..
