Mushroom Masala within 20 mins


Mushroom masala is a fantastic sidedish for flavourful rice, pulao, chapathi, fulka, plain parathas.. I made this for lunch few days back and serve with chapathi and veg pulao.. It make a very tasty and the seasoning items added to the gravy make the dish falvourful.. It is most lovable dish in my family.. 


Mushroom masala is an easy and quick dish and yet delicious, mushroom in the semi gravy spicy and tangy tomato puree along with bellpeppers.. You can make this recipe from potatoes or paneer or tofu..

INGREDIENTS :

Mushroom - 250 grms (sliced thick)
Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1 (large, chopped finely)
Capsicum - 5 tbspn (chopped)
Green chilli - 6 nos (slit)
Coriander powder - 1 tspn
Cumin powder - 1/4 tspn
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
Mustard seeds - 1 tspn
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
Garam masala powder- 1 tspn
Chilli powder - 2 tspn (as per your taste)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
Salt - as needed
Oil - 2 tbspn

FOR SEASONING :

Cilantro / coriander leaves - 3 tbspn (chopped)
lemon juice - 1 tspn
Pepper powder - 1 tspn
Garlic - 3 cloves (peeled and chopped)
Butter - 2 tbspn
Green chilli - 3 (slit)

METHOD :

  • Heat a pan with some oil, add in mustard allow to splutter..
  • Add in cumin seeds, slited green chillies, allow to sizzle.
  • Now add in turmeric powder and chopped onion and toss well.
  • Cover and cook it for 2 mins.
  • Open the lid and add in ginger garlic paste and toss well.
  • Add in chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder and mix evenly..
  • Keep tossing and put it on low flame..
  • Now add in tomato puree and mix well.
  • Add in salt and allow to cook for 5 mins or till the spices blends with tomatoes..
  • Now add in capsicum and mix well.
  • Add mushroom and mix evenly along with the masala..
  • Cover it with lid and cook for 10 mins or till the mushroom are done.. 
  • In a another pan add butter and make the seasoning items..
  • With garlic, toss well for few sec till the aromatoc smell arise..
  • Then add in siled green chillies and chopped coriander leaves and peper powder.
  • Toss for few sec and add it to the masala.. with some lemon juice..
  • Give a mix and serve..
  • Enjoy..



PICTORIAL :



Take all your ingredients
Heat a pan with oil
Add in mustard allow to splutter
Add in cumin seeds
Now add in green chillies
Now add a pinch of turmeric powder
Add in chopped onion
Mix well
Cover it with lid and cook for 1 min
Now open the lid the onion turn transprent
Add in ginger garlic paste
Add in chilli powder
Add in coriander powder & cumin powder
Add in garam masala powder
Mix well till the raw smell leaves
Add in tomato puree
Mix well 
Add in salt
Allow to boil few mins
Add in capsicum 
Add in cleaned mushroom 
Mix evenly
Cover it with lid
Cook till it's done
Now it's done
Take the ingredients for seasoning
Heat a pan
Add some butter
Add in chopped garlic
Toss it till the nice smell rises
Add in green chilli
Add in chopped coriander leaves
Add in pepper powder
Toss it lightly
Add to the masala
Squeeze the lemon juice
Mix it well
Transfer it to serving bowl
Serve hot
