Maida Appam With Banana And Sugar


Sweet appam can be using different ingredients.. It can be done with Allpurpose flour/ maida, wheat flour, raw rice.. This version is made with maida, sugar and banana.. This is a most easy to amke this version among all the three.. I make this appam for my specail guest along with bajji veriety.. 


Some of them using paniyaram pan but i used deep fried version.. I f you feel maida and sugar is unhealthy use can replaced it with wheat flour and jaggery.. Kids loved this sweet snacks.. its tasty crispy outside and soft texture inside.. It can be served as a evening snacks for children and adults...

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Resting Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 5 to 7 mins.

INGREDIENTS :

All purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Banana - 1 
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tspn
Oil - for frying..

METHOD :

  • In a blender add banana, maida, sugar and 1/2 cup of milk and grind it into a smooth paste..
  • Then add in cardamom powder and another 1/2 of the milk and grind well.. (Wipe the sides and grind well)
  • Transfer it to a bowl and thick dosa batter consistency..
  • Heat a pan with oil and take ladle full of batter and pour slowly into the hot oil..
  • Flip it inbetween 2 mins (cook it in low flame)
  • When it done drain it in a tissue papper..
  • Do all the batter like this.. (one by one)..
  • Serve warm and enjoy..


PICTORIAL :



Take all the ingredients
Ina blender add banana
Add in maida
Add in sugar
Then add in 1/2 cup of milk

Make it a smooth paste
Add in cardamom powder
Another 1/2 cup of milk
Again grind it well 
Transfer them to a bowl
Like this consistency
Heat a pan with oil
Take a ladle ful of batter
Pour slowly into the hot oil
Slowly
Allow to cook in low flame
Now it's almost done
Flip it 
Again cook in low flame
Take it away from the oil
Drain it in the tissue paper
Serve warm
