Simple Radish Poriyal / Mullangi Poriyal


Many donot like this radish because of the pungent smell, but you will not no this this curry.. Today we will learn to make radish stir fry / curry using this simple step wise pictures.. It is tasty and easy to make.. It can be done in about 15 mins.. Use this poriyal as a sidedish for sambar, chapathi or with rice... My favourite it with chapathi and i love the core...


Adding radish in our daily life, which has rich fiber, pottasium, calcium thats supports our healthy.. Radishes can be white, red, purple, black and it's terms of it's shapes, it can be long cylindrical or round.. They are eaten as raw or cooked or pickled.. Radish popularly know as mooli in india.. might not the top list of your vegetables but it come to nutrition and healthy benifits they definetly secure the top rank among all the vegetables...

INGREDIENTS :

Radish - 1 cup (chopped into big pieces)
Onion - 1 (chopped)
Green chilli - 2 (slit)
Mustard seeds - 1 tspn
Turmeric powder - 1 tspn
Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tspn
Fresh coconut - 1/4 cup (grated)
Coconut oil - 2 tbspn
Salt - as needed


METHOD :

  • Heat a pan with oil and add in mustard seeds and allow to crackle..
  • Then add in chopped onion and green chilli and toss till transparent..
  • Now add in chopped fresh radish and add little bit of water..
  • Cover the lid and cook for 10 mins or till the water evaporates..
  • Now add in turmeric powder and give it a mix..
  • When the radish cooked completely add in chilli powder, salt and toss well.
  • Toss till the raw smell leaves it..
  • Atlast add in freah grated coconut and give it a mix..
  • Serve hot with chapathi or rice...


PICTORIAL :


Prepare your veggies
Heat a pan with coconut oil and add in mustard
When it crackle add in onion and chilli
Toss till transparent
Now add in chopped radish
Give a mix along with the onions
Add some water
Mix well
Cover it with lid and cook for 7 to 10 mins
When the water evaporates
Add in turmeric powder
Mix well
Add in chilli powder
Some salt
Toss till the raw smell leaves
Add in fresh coconut
Mix it evenly
Transfer it to a serving bowl
Enjoy..

Coconut Ladoo - Just 15 Minutes - With 4 Ingredients


Coconut ladoo recipe with condensed milk, quick and easy to make... My hubby's favourite of coconut flavour, he always love to having sweets or cakes or cookies, that depends on flavour of coconut.. Here i use condensed milk (milkmaid) for the ladoos which makes you a lip smacking ladoo recipe...


Ladoos, are my favourite sweets of all time.. You can make it with any powders like wheat flour, gram flour or anything.. I have already some ladoo recipes in my blog.. You can visit it also...

I made this around the newyear, but i didn't get anytime to posted it.. So now i posing it just for you.. This ladoo takes few minutes to whip up.. But the taste is just phenomenol.. the condensed milk makes it wow.. In my opinion the condensed milk is one of the most versatile ingredients that have on hand.. we can make more sweet recipes using that...

Cooking time : 15 mins
Makes - 12 to 15 ladoos

INGREDIENTS :

Coconut - 2 cups (i use dessicated coconut)
Condensed milk - 1 cup
Cashew - 1/2 cup (powdered)
Ghee or Butter - 2 tbspn + for greasing your hands
Dessicated coconut for rolling

METHOD :

  • Take dessicated coconut in a kadai and add in ghee and roast it for 3 mins.. 
  • (you can use fresh coconut also)
  • Now add in condensed milk and mix well.
  • Then add in powdered cashew and mix well.
  • Keep cooking for 10 to 15 secs till it's leave the sides..
  • Once it started leaving trasnfer it to a bowl ..
  • Allow to cool. then grease your hands with little ghee.
  • Shape it into small ladoos and roll the ladoos in a dessicated coconut.
  • Till it is coated well. Place it in a air tight container and kept it in fridge for 2 hours..
  • Serve cold..



NOTES :

  1. If you are using fresh coconut it is little bit big grates.. so i suggest you to take it to a blender and pulse it for few secs..
  2. Rolling ladoo in dessicated coconut is optional..
  3. You can use any of your favourite powders instead of cashew powders..



PICTORIAL :


Take dessicated coconut in a kadai
Add in ghee
Roasted well
For 3 mins..
Now add in condensed milk
Give it a mix, till it's leave the side..
Add in cashew powders..
Mix it well
Take a small coconut mixture
Roll it into a ball
Take some dessicated coconut in a plate
Roll well
Coconut fully coated well in ladoos
Place it in a plate
Done
Serve

Eggless Honey Badam Cookies


One evening when i was browsing i saw lots of baked recipes posted in blogs.. I realized that i haven't baked anything for the past few months.. I was so energized and wanted to bake something instantly.. I was inspried so mush.. I headed into the pantry and looked for the ingredints and found out that it was missing, key ingredients " All purpose flour and Butter"...


I was so much pissed. But i didn't leave my insiration, i browsed again for a cookie recipe which can be made with wheat flour and oil.. Finally i hoped into a blog and took the recipe. I substituted the regular flour to wheat flour and baked the cookies..


When my finger crossed i took my first bite.. OMG it was amazing and awesome since this cookies had honey in this... My son also enjoyed and asked me to prepare it often.. It was a totally hit at my home, Since it has no butter.. So i hope that you are eager to bake this cookies, so here go to the recipe....


Preparation time : 10 mins
Baking time : 15 mins
Mkaes - 12 to 15 cookies

INGREDIENTS :

Whole wheat flour /Atta - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/4 cup powdered
Honey - 1/4 cup
Oil - 1/4 cup
Vanilla essence - 1 tspn
Baking powder - 1 tspn
Baking soda - 1/2 tspn
Salt - 1/4 tspn
Badam - 1/2 cup (chopped)

METHOD :

  • Preheat the oven to 180 Degree C/ 300 Degree F.
  • Spray the tray with some oil..
  • Take the wheat flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl, mix well.
  • Take honey, oil, and vanilla in a bowland mix well.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
  • Mix well so it form into a smooth dough,
  • Now add in chopped badam nuts and mix well.
  • Form small balls from the smooth dough and shape them into rounds..
  • Press them slightly and arrange them in a baking tray.. Bake it for 15 mins..
  • Remove it from the oven and allow to cooldown..
  • Serve with a glass of milk...


PICTORIAL :


 Take all your ingredients
 Take flour in a bowl
 Add in baking powder
 Add in baking soda
 Add in sugar
 Mix well, keep aside
 Take oil in a cup
 Add some honey
 Then your vanilla, mix well
 Pour the wet ingredients to the dry
 Mix well
 Form a smooth dough
 Add in chopped badam nuts
 Mix well
 Shape them into small balls
 Take a ball
 Press them lightly
 Arrange them in a baking tray
 All are baked
 Serve hot
Store it in a air tight container
