Plain Onion Raita / Onion Sambol For Briyani


Raita make great cooling and refreshing sidedish for any spicy briyani, parotta salna, chapathi... You can literally make raita with pretty much veggies like onions, carrots, beetroots, cucumber, mint or anything... Raita is not at all different, it is just a combination of yogurt, fruits or veggies and few spices powder and fresh herbs...


This raita is made with onion, salt and thick curd... But it is normal and usual raita which served in hotels for sidedish for briyani, chapathi kurma, parotta... So i hope that you must try this and let me know how it turns out from you...

INGREDIENTS :

Onions - 3 (sliced into long strips)
Salt - as needed
Thick unsour curd / Yogurt - 1 cup

METHOD :

  • Take onions, sliced them...
  • Mix well, with your hands and wash them in running water..
  • Drain it and add in salt and curd..
  • Whisk them till it get smooth.. 
  • Now it's done, serve with briyani or anything you like...

Squeeze them with your hands
Now it's done
Wash them well in running water
Drain it
Add in curd
Some salt
Whisk them till smooth
Now transfer into a serving bowl
