Chilli Mushroom Dry / Onion Capsicum Mushroom Sir Fry


Chilli Mushroom Dry is a spicy indo chinese recipe, This recipe was in drafts for a long period of time.. Somehow I forgetten to add this recipe.. Pretty simple to make and goes well as starter snack or lunch for pulao recipes... Usually when i make mushrooms, i serve them with chapathis and friedrice.. thats how we prefer relishing these crisp fried mushroom with chilli sauce....


You can serve this chilli mushroom with many pulao which have already posted in my blog....

You can use paneer, cauliflower, baby corn instead of mushroom... I love all indo chinese foods, they are lip smacking good.... So i hope that you must try this recipe and let me know how it's turns out from you....

INGREDIENTS :

Button mushroom - 200 gms (cut into medim size pieces)
Oil - for frying
Spring onion - for garnishing

FOR BATTER : 

All purpose flour / Maida - 1 cup
Corn flour / corn starch - 1/2 tspn
Black pepper powder - 1 tspn
Salt - as needed
Water - as needed

FOR SAUCE :

Butter - 2 tspn
Cinnamon sticks - 2 (small)
Garlic - 5 cloves (chopped)
Green chilli - 2 chopped
Onion - 1 (sliced into squares)
Capsicum - 1/2 (sliced into squares)
Chilli powder - 1 tspn
Chilli sauce - 1 tspn
Tomato sauce - 2 tspn
Salt - as needed
Sugar - 1 tspn

METHOD :

  • Heat oil for deep frying..
  • Start by making batter by mixing all ingredients given in the list "FOR BATTER" to a smooth thick paste..
  • Add in chopped mushrooms and mix well.
  • Drop in hot oil and fry till golden, drain and set aside..
  • Now add in butter in a kadai, add in cinnamon sticks, garlic, green chillies allow to fry for 30 sec..
  • Add in onion, capsicum and saute it for 2 mins..
  • Then add in chilli powder, chilli sauce and tomato sauce and mix...
  • Add in some salt and sugar and mix well.
  • Add in fried mushrooms, and toss it for 3 mins in low flame..
  • Till the mushroom coated well with the sauce..
  • Garnish with spring onion.. Serve with pulao..

PICTORIAL :


Clean the mushroom and cut into small pieces
In a bowl add batter ingredients
Make it a thick paste by adding water
Add in mushroom
Mix well
Fry it in oil, till golden
Drain it
Heat a pan with butter
Add in cinnamon sticks
Chopped garlic
Chopped green chillies
Toss for 2 mins
Add in onion and capsicum, toss for 2 mins
Add in chilli powder
Add in tomato sauce and chilli sauce
Mix well for 2 mins in low flame
Add in fried mushroom

Add in salt and sugar
Toss well for 5 mins in low flame

Now it's done

Serve hot
