7 Cup Burfi / Seven Cup Burfi is an easy sweet recipe and in most of the houses it is a compulsory one for Diwali... I searching for diwali sweets in many wedsites, in all these the 7 cup burfi is same in all these the 7 cup burfi is same in all the website and also a famous sweets prepared in diwali... My grandma told that we must distributing sweets to neighbours for diwali... In this sweets somebody add carrot or cashew paste, but i add in fresh coconut....


I am looking for easy diwali sweets recipes and this 7 cup burfi is a must try one... Diwali is just a few days away.. Makes - 20 Burfis

INGREDIENTS :

Gram Flour / Besan Flour - 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Sugar - 3 cup
Ghee - 1 cup
Coconut - 1 cup

METHOD :

  • In a kadai add besan in a tspn of ghee toss till nice aroma comes and colour slightly change... Set aside...
  • In a mixing bowl add in roasted flour, sugar, coconut, milk, whisk till sugar completely dissolves..
  • Grease the tray with ghee and keep ready..
  • Transfer the mixture into a non - stick pan and keep stirring..
  • It starts bubbling then forms a thick mass... 
  • At the time add a spoon of ghee... keep stirring..
  • Now it became thick and add in spoon of ghee....and keep mixing..
  • It easily leaves the sides of the pan with a porous texture thats change the colour to brown shade too....
  • Atlast add in ghee and mix well..(keep adding the ghee inbetween the mixing..
  • Please the check the right consisitency and switch off..
  • Transfer the mixture immediately to the ghee greased tray...
  • When its still warm mark the pieces then when it is cooled down cut them in to desired shapes.. 
  • Cool down completely and then store in an air tight container...

Take your ingredients
Grease the plate with ghee
Add garm flour in a pan
Add a spoon of ghee
Toss well
Add in roasted flour in a mixing bowl
Add in coconut
Add in sugar
Another two bowls also
Add in milk
Mix it well
Pour it to a pan
Add in a spoon of ghee
Keep mixing
It started bubbles
See how it's bubbling
Keep mixing it
It became lightly thick
Add a spoon of ghee
Keep stirring
Add a spoon of ghee
See how it is bubbling in the sides of the pan
Add in a spoon of ghee
It became thick
Look like it..

Now switch off the flame
Transfer it into a grease pan
Spread it even
Cut it into lenthwise
Mkae slice when it is warm
