Gram flour ladoo / Besan ladoo


Besan ladoo is one of the most popular ladoo recipes that I wanted to try since long but it my daughter pushed me to try it after tasted besan ladoo lastweek.. Besan ladoo is also called as gram flour ladoo or Kadalai maavu urundai... is very easy to make... Also diwali is fast approaching so thought to post this easy sweet recipe...


For this recipe important thing is to roast the gramflour well, till it giving nutty fragrance... they are very nutritious an dhealthy... to make more heathy you can add dry fruits like almonds, raisins, cashews or pistachio.... They are good during winters... you can make them in a bulk and store it in a air tight container....


This is one of the easy and quick diwali sweet recipes with no prior soaking or grinding etc... Very easy yet delicious, melt in the mouth ladoo recipe.....And one more thing is that it had no consistency check like other sweets and thats another good and it cannot flop at all.... then why are you waiting make it for diwali and suprise your loved ones!

INGREDIENTS :

Gram flour / Besan - 1 cups
Organic ghee / clarified butter - 1/2 cup
Powdered sugar - 3/4 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tspn
Chopped pista - 3 tbspn

METHOD :

  • Heat a pan and add in besan and stir..
  • Stir continue to roast for 6 - 7 mins on a low flame, till you start getting a nutty fragrance from the besan..
  • Stir it on a low flame till the colour has changed..
  • Now add a small amount of ghee and stir well..
  • Stir it along with the ghee approx 14 - 15 mins, the aroma of the roasted besan will be clearly felt...
  • Add sugar, mix it for 5 mins.. remember to keep on stirring so that the the mixture doesnot stick to the bottom of the pan..
  • Add cardamom powder and mix well..
  • Then switch off the flame and let be cool down..
  • Once the besan ladoo mixture is cools or is warm enough for you to handle, then make small or medium size besan ladoo from the mixture..
  • Make the ladoo and dip lightly on the pista crust..keep plated.
  • Serve the ladoo immediately or store them in a air tight container...


PICTORIAL :



Take your ingredients
Heat a pan with besan flour
Stir well
 Continue to roast for 6 - 7 mins on a low flame
Roast 
When it getting a nutty fragrance from the besan..
Add ghee 
Mix well
Now add in sugar
Stir well
 Remember to keep on stirring
Now the mixture is done
Let them to cool
Take a small portion 
Make it a small ladoo
Crust some pista
Dip lightly the laddoo
Like this
Plated in a plate
Now it's done
Serve
