Tangri Kabab / Grilled Chicken Drumsticks


Tangri kabab / grilled chicken drumstick is more delicious recipe for you with lot of flavours... kabab is a blend of spices. Here the chicken piece is marination in curd, ginger garlic paste, spices green chillies, and roasted gram flour..to get this tangri kabab. i have already post tangadi kabab in my blog which have been done by searching it in online and got an idea about the recipe and try... 


This recipe is so easy to make but so tasty and delicious to eat.. This grilled chicken has a coating of well toasted gram flour which make it more flavour to the dish.. I made this last sunday and gave serve it to my cousins and they all loved it so much...



Soft chicken leg marinated in a flavour some paste and then grilled on the tandoor which is the best appetizer for lunch or dinner. many of my viewers asking for chicken recipes.. So here i post a awesome simple dish and that taste heavenly.. My daugher in law loved it so much and she told me to make it again.. iT can be made it on baking and grill mode.. 


So i hope you will try it and let me know the results...

Preparation time : 15 mins
Marinating time : 4 - 5 hours
Baking time : 50 mins
Grilled time : 5 mins for both sides

INGREDIENTS:

Chicken - 1 kg (chicken leg eight pieces)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbspn
Thick yogurt - 1 cup
Lemon juice - 3 tbspn
Garam masala powder - 1tbspn
Chilli powder - 2 tbspn
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Red colour powder - 1 pinch
Green chillies - 3 (chopped)
Gram flour / besan - 1/2 cup
Butter for basting
Salt - as needed



METHOD :

  • Make slashes with a knife into the chicken legs. It helps the masala to seep in while getting cooked...
  • Wash the green chillies remove the stem and chopped finely..
  • First in a dry pan toasting in gram flour and roasted well. And keep aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients except roasted gram flour and mix well.
  • Then add in chicken pieces and kept it for 1/2 hour.
  • Once it marinated well add the roasted gram flour to the chicken legs. Rub it nicely with your hands..
  • Keep it in the fridge for 4 - 5 hours or even overnight..to marinate.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 degree c. Line the baking tray with foil. 
  • Arrange the chicken in a tray and put them in oven for 15 mins.
  • Take them out and base them with butter. Again put back into the oven for another 15 mins.
  • Now filp over and bake it for 15 mins.
  • Then base them with butter and again put back into the oven for 15 mins.
  • Cook till the kabab are char grilled on the outside and succulent on the inside.
  • Now remove the tray from the oven and sprinkled some chat masala (it an optional)over the hot chicken and serve immediately..


PICTORIAL :



Take your ingredients
First toast your gram flour
Fry them till they couple shades and smells nutty.
Take your cleaned chicken
Slash on the leg part using knife
Like this
In a mixing bowl add in gram masala
Add in chilli powder
A pinch of red colour powder
Some amount oof salt
Add in turmeric powder
Add in chopped chillies
Ginger garlic paste
Add in lemon juice
Add in thick yogurt
Once mix well
Add in chicken
Mix well
Now add in roasted gram flour
Now let it's marinate
Arrange the chicken on the tray
Place it on the oven
Remove the tray from oven
Melted some butter
Brush with some butter
Bake again for 15 mins
Flip over and again brush it again
Repeat the same
Repeat the same
Now almost done in baking mode
Now grill for 10 mins
It's ready
Serve...
