Instant Kambu (Pearl Millet) Dosai


I wanted to try this kambu dosa for a long time ... But i have a time to prepare this last week.. usually we make normal dosa or idly so i think it of to prepare it instead of normal break fast. It best match with Onion tomato kara chutney. The dosas came out lacy and crispy too as you can see in the picture, You will surely not miss this kambu dosas, then what next? ready to cook.........

Preparation time : 5 mins 
Cooking time : 5 min (per dosa)
Serve - 5

INGREDIENTS : 

Dosa batter - 1 cup
Instant kambu flour / pearl millet flour - 2 cup
Curd - 1/2 cup 
Salt- as needed
Water -  4 cup
Oil - for making dosa

FOR TEMPER :

Oil - 1 spn
Mustard - 1 tsp
Onions - 2 (chopped)

METHOD :

  • In a vessel add instant kambu flour, curd, salt and mix it using a whisk adding water gradually.
  • And add two ladle full of dosa batter on it. And mix it well
  • Click idli, dosa batter to view.
  • Now in a kadai add oil, mustard and allow it to crackle.
  • Then add chopped onions to that and fry it, till it became transparent.
  • After fry it, pour it into the dosa batter and mix well.
  • Heat the dosa tawa and pour a ladle full of batter on it and keep rolling to make dosa.
  • Now sprinkle some oil. When it's cooked turn it and sprinkled some oil.
  • Now the kambu dosa is ready.
  • I serve it with Onion tomato kara chutney.

PICTORIAL :


Take your ingredients
In a vessel add kambu flour
Add salt
Now curd
Add in water and mix
Now it's ready
Take dosa batter 
Add a ladle of dosa batter to it
Again a ladle of batter
Now in another kadai add in oil, mustard
Add in chopped onions
Fry it till transparent
Now pour to the batter
And mix well
Heat a tawa 
Make dosa and sprinkle some oil
Turn over
Now the kambu dosa is ready to serve
