Gopi 65 / Cauliflower 65


Gopi 65 is hubby's most favourite in this whole universe. yeah, that's how he says. I usually make grilled cauliflower with simple pulao.  But if he wants as a snacks for eating alone with a cup of coffee, then I have to make this way. I have adapted the recipe from my mom. but changed a bit, according to my convenience and taste. 


And my hubby's really enjoyed it and loves this way. I must thank my mom for sharing the recipe. I took cauliflower atleast once a week as a curry, korma or in biryani. This method is kind of restaurant style indian recipe served as a side dish or starter, or as tea time snacks.


Cauliflower florests nicely coated with a spiced masala.. so the taste is yummy and it is one of the kids favorite recipe... Now let's enter in to the recipe.....

Preparation time : 10 mins
Marination time : 20 mins
Frying time : 6 - 7 mins
Serve - 4

INGREDIENTS :

Cauliflower - 1 medium 
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Red colour powder - 1 pinch
Gram flour - 1 tsp
Corn flour - 2 tsop
Rice flour - 2 tsp
Oil - for frying
Salt - as required
Curry leaves - garnish

METHOD :

  • Separate the cauliflower into small florets, boil water with salt, and keep the florets inside this water.
  • Cover untill it is parboiled. Drain the water.
  • Mix all the ingredients given above, in a bowl except oil. maginated it for 20 mins.
  • Heat kadai with oil enough to deep fry.
  • Dip and deep fry the cauliflower florets untill golden brown and crisp in hot oil in medium flame.
  • Add the curry leaves a spring per batch for garnishing. Drain them in paper towel and enjoy hot!



PICTORIAL :


Take cauliflower florets in the bowl
In a sauce pan keep the florets inside the water and add salt
Boil untill it is parboiled
Drain water 
In a bowl add in ginger garlic paste
Salt
Chilli powder
Gram flour
Corn flour
Add in red colour powder
Rice flour
Add in washed florets
Mix well and maginated for 20 mins
After 20 mins once mix again
Dip and fry the cauliflower
Fry it untill golden brown and crispy
Drain it
Now it's ready
Yummy...
Serve 
Enjoy hot....

Tandoori Chicken.




Tandoori chicken is a dish popular in south asia, malaysia, singapore, and indonesia consisting of roasted chicken prepared with yogurt and spiced. The name comes from the type of cylindrical clay oven, a tandoor, in which the dish is traditionally prepared.


I made this for my cuisine and the taste is really awesome and spices mix in this chicken give aroma flavour to the dish. My family enjoyed it very well with mint chutney. So I hope you will give this a try, Let me know how it turned out for you.
                     
Preparation time : 10 mins
Marinating time : 6 hours or over night.
Baking time - 30 to 35 mins  
Serve  - 5

INGREDIENT :

Chicken  - 1 (whole chicken or 8 leg pieces)
Butter - for brush it on top
Kasthri methi for sprinkle it one top

FOR MARINATION:

Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Salt - to taste. 
Lemon juice - 2 to 3 tbspn

FOR SECOND ,MARINATION :

Thick unsoor curd / yogurt - 1 cup
Chilli powder - 1 tbspn
Coriander powder - 1 tbspn
Cumin powder - 1 tbspn
Chat masala - 1 tbspn
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tbspn
Red food colour - 1 pinch 
Amchoor powder - 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
Kasuri methi leave  - 1tbspn

METHOD :

  • Take chicken in a bowl, makes deep slits, on them.
  • Add salt, chilli powder  and lemon juice to them and mix well. Now put this marinate for 1/2 hours. 
  • Now take second marinate ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  • Pour this over the marinated chicken and mix well. 
  • Leave it for 8 hours or over night in fridge.
  • Next day, remove it and let it come to room temp.
  • Preheat the oven for 200 degree c. Now place the chicken over a foil lined baking tray and pop it in the oven for 15 mins.
  • Remove it, and flip over, apply left over marination and again bake it for 15 mins.
  • Now remove it from the oven apply butter all over the chicken and bake it for 10 mins.
  • Now remove it and increase the temp to 250 degree c and set the mode to grill.
  • Now place the tray near to the grill and cook it for 5 mins. till you see some black spots over the chicken.
  • Remove it from the oven, and brush butter on the top of the chicken. 
  • Now it's ready, and serve..

 Take your ingredients
 Make deep slaches, like this
 Take items for first marination. 
 Add it to a bowl
 Mix well and add chicken.
 Leave to marinate for 30 mins
 Massage it well 
 Now take the items for second marination 
 Mix all the ingredients
 Mix well second marination is done
 Pour this over the chicken
 Massage it well and marination goes into the chicken 
 Done... leave this for 8 hours 
atleast or leave it for over night...
 Kept it in the fridge
 Line a baking tray with foil
 Place the chcicken over this
 Time to bake
 Place it on the oven
 Remove it once half baked
 Flip over and brush some butter on the chicken genetously.
 Again grilled it...and finaly brush it with some butter 
 Serve
 Serve it with mint chutney
