Milagu Vatha Kuzhambu


Cooking Time : 1/2 hr
Preparation Time : 15  mins
Serve : 4-5

INGREDIANTS:

Small onion - 15
Garlic - 7
Turmeric powder - 1 tspn
Mustard seed - 1spn
Tamarind water - 1 cup
Salt - as required
Gingelly oil - as required
Water - as required

FOR GRINDING:

Red Chilli  - 8
Pepper corn - 1spn
Sesame seed - 1spn
Coriander seed - 2spn
Cumin seed - 1/2 spn
Garlic - 1
Coconut  - 1/4 cup
Small onion - 6

METHOD:

  • Take the grinding ingrediants in a kadai and add some gingelly oil for frying and add it into the blender till fine paste
  • Then cut the small onion , garlic both into two pieces keep it aside
  • In a kadai add gingerlly oil, mustard seed, chopped small onion, curry leaves then add cutter onion and garlic then roast it in the oil
  • Then add grinded masala, salt, turmeric powder along with that tamarind water
  • Mix it well and cover it for 10 mins till the gravy become thick 
  • Now the oil floated on the top
  • Now the Milagu vatha kuzhambu is ready to serve
  • I served it with white rice and pudalangai kootu

Take your ingrediants
Take all the spices
In a kadai take all the spices and fry it
Add coconut
Add small onion
Add one garlic
Now some gingelly oil
Fry it till brown
Take it into blender 
Grind it into fine paste
In a kadai add oil
Add mustard seed
Add garlic, curry leaves
Toss it
Mix that masala too
Fry it
Add salt
Add turmeric powder
Add tamarind water
Then mix it well
Cover it with lid
Untill the oil floated on the top
Serve with podalangai kootu
Serve with white rice
