Dragon Chicken - Indo Chinese Recipe



One of the easiest Indo - chinese recipe is dragon chicken, The vibrant of red colour of the dish is very tempting, it tastes delicious and can be made easliy... My appa's favourite recipe when I went to my native place ambai my papa used to make this recipe, he loved it... It is easy and delicious to prepare... 



This is a dry version recipe which is slightly spicy, tangy, sweety dish is just great for any occations... Dragon Chicken could be served as sidedish or as a main dish and goes well with fried rice, Pulao, Plain rice and Roti... Here the chicken is cut into long strips and maginate with some ingredients and deep fry it in the oil.. Atlast mixed with the prepared chinese sauce...

INGREDIENTS:


MAGINATED ITEMS:


Chicken strips - 1/2 kg

Ginger garlic paste - 2 spn
Chilli powder - 2 spn
All purpose flour / Maida - 1spn
Rice flour - 2 spn
Corn starch - 2 spn
Lemon - 1/2
Red colour - 1 pinch
Salt - as needed

FOR SAUCE :


Onions - 1

Butter -2 spn
Cashew - 10
Ground nuts - 10
Capsicum - 1/2
lemon - 1/2
Chilli powder - 1/2 spn
Tomato ketch up
Coriander leaves - few
Spring onion - few

METHOD:



  • In a bowl add chicken stripes and also add maginated items one by one
  • Mix it well and marinate the chicken for 15 mins...
  • Heat a pan with oil and deep fry it, it would be crispy...
  • Now it's time to prepare sauce, for that heat a pn with butter..
  • Then add in cashew, ground nuts, chopped onions, fry them till brown
  • Now add capsicum, chilli powder, ketch up, mix it well and add deep fried chicken on it...
  • Mix evenly the sauce will coated the chicken well.. And  atlast add in chopped coriander leaves and spring onions...
  • Now crispy dragon chicken is ready...
  • Serve hot as a starter...

PICTORIAL:




 In a bowl add chicken strips, ginger garlic paste 
 Chilli powder
Sprinkle some salt
Add in maida
 Rice flour and corn starch
 Then lemon juice
 A pinch of red food colour
 Mix well and marinate for 15 mins
 Heat A pan with oil
 Add chicken and fried it till crispy
 Take your ingredients
 Add some butter and both the nuts on it
Then add in onions
 Capsicum
Few chilli powder
Then ketchup
 Add fried chicken on it
Add in coriander leaves and spring onion..
 Mix evenly
Serve hot
